The Criminological Imagination: Crime and Justice

Join the Criminology team to explore ideas of crime and justice and what you can do to make the world a fairer and safer place. During this DMU Inspire day, you’ll develop your own criminological imagination to decide how we can deliver justice in different places. Who gets to determine what is a crime and what is not? How should we respond to different crimes and how can we support victims?

Looking at different contexts, including young people and crime, the criminal justice system, and as far as outer space we will explore how we can respond to crime and social harms and what justice means for people in different places.

You’ll develop understanding of the criminal justice system and build on your essential skills including critical thinking, ethical reasoning, and reflexivity. This experience will prepare you to confidently address the real-world issues we tackle in Criminology and in justice related careers.
